Other Info | Sat, Dec 8th at 10:30 am O: Join us for an easy 3mile rt, 500 ft gain trail hike in Will Rogers State Park likely to Inspiration Point. On a clear day you may see as far as Palos Verdes and Catalina. From the early 1930's Will Rogers was the most popular and highest paid actor in Hollywood. During the 1920s he bought 186 acres of what is now known as Pacific Palisades where he developed a ranch. The ranch house and stables are located at Will Rogers State Park. You can frequently watch the horses here, or see an occasional deer and other animals. Tours of the house are led by docents every hour. Parking at Will Rogers Park costs $12 a car. There is some street parking, but it is far away, and very limited. Will Rogers State Park 1501 Will Rogers Park Road Pacific Palisades, CA 90272 Directions: From PCH, turn onto Chataqua and proceed 0.9 miles. Then take a left onto Sunset and proceed 0.5 miles. Turn left onto Will Rogers Park Road and drive up to the main gate. From the 405, go west on Sunset. About 1.5 miles after Allenford, turn right onto Will Rogers Park Road.
