Other Info
Join us on an urban adventure on the Junior Nature Trail in the beautiful Eaton Canyon in Altadena.
It is flat and well-suited for small children and people who are physically limited. The total distance is less than a quarter of a mile. We will look for local plants, as well as rocks, birds, squirrels, rabbits and lizards. Meet inside the nature center at 4:15pm. We will check out the live animals on display. See scorpion, tree frog, toad, western fence lizard, alligator lizard, king snake, rosy boa, rattlesnake (yep, it's alive), and more. Then we will walk the short trail. Wear enclosed shoes, hat and sunscreen and bring your happy disposition. We can have a picnic at the end of the adventure, so bring some goodies to share. Leaders: Silvia Darie and Jeff Wilson. Email Silvia at outdoorsygal@sbcglobal.net so we know to look for you.
