O: Temescal Canyon Hike to the waterfall
Join us for an easy 3 mile rt, 400 ft gain family hike in beautiful Temescal Canyon. Hike through densely wooded area to a seasonal waterfall.
Trailhead: From Santa Monica, drive north on Pacific Coast Highway (1) for 2.6 mile to Temescal Canyon Road and turn right. Drive to the end of Temescal Canyon Road and park at the entrance to the Presbyterian Conference Center. Meet us at 10 am at the trailhead at the far end of the parking lot near the nature center. (Lat:34.05312 Lon:-118.5286). There is a parking fee, but you may be able to find parking on street. Bring hat, water, snacks, sunscreen, hiking shoes and a good disposition. All minors need to be accompanied by parents or legal guardians. Hike is great for kids above 5 years and for backpacked babies. Leaders: Silvia Darie, Jeff Wilson, Steve Berson.
