Other Info | At this time of year, people celebrate many different holidays: Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa. Join us as we celebrate National Suckling Pig Day and Bake Cookies Day! You’ll get in the proper winter spirit with this easy 3 mi, minimal gain stroll through an amazing holiday wonderland. This South Bay neighborhood is widely known for its dazzling display of lights. It’s a popular treat, so leave your sleigh – you can see more on foot anyway. Meet at 6:00 PM at the “trailhead” -- the Ralphs parking lot, 5035 Pacific Coast Hwy, (NE corner of Calle Mayor and PCH, 1 mile W of Hawthorne Blvd) in Torrance. Afterward, we’ll retire to some cozy local eatery for socializing, dinner/dessert and a glass of holiday cheer. Bring warm clothes, comfortable shoes, water (or hot chocolate), $ for afterwards. Newcomers and children of all ages especially welcome! Meet at Ralphs parking lot, 5035 Pacific Coast Hwy, (NE corner of Calle Mayor and PCH, 1 mile W of Hawthorne Blvd) in Torrance. Outing is sponsored by 20s30s and Little Hikers. Sierra Club rules apply. Leaders: James and Madeline Eble, Jeff Breakstone |
