O: Come join us for a 1.5 mi rt 300 ft gain hike along Eaton Canyon to the waterfall. Hike on trail in shaded canyon along the stream. Multiple stream crossings and boulder hopping. Fun for parents and kids. Meet 10:30am at the Pinecrest gate (exit 210 Fwy at Altadena Dr, N 2½ mi to Crescent Dr, R to Pinecrest). Since parking is in the neighborhood, please keep your voices down as we gather. Bring water, snacks, sturdy shoes, warm gear, and a smile. You may want to bring change of clothes/shoes for the kids, since they may get wet. Consider swim clothes for the pond at base of waterfall. Hike best for backpacked/ carried kids, or kids older than 4 year. All kids need to be accompanied by parent or legal guardian. Heavy rain/landslides cancel. Leaders Silvia Darie, Jeff Wilson.
