C: Film on "The Boyhood of John Muir", about Muir's boyhood in his native Scotland, his arduous work as a teenager on his father's farm in Wisconsin, and his joyful explorations in the wilderness of 19th century North America, will be shown in the South Pasadena Public Library Community Room at 7 pm on Friday, October 25. The film is suitable for both children and adults; students who are participating in the John Muir Essay Contest in South Pasadena's elementary schools are especially encouraged to attend. The Community Room is located at 1115 El Centro Street. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and refreshments will be served. No tickets or reservations are necessary but seating is limited. Parking is available at the South Pasadena School District's parking lot behind District offices across the street on the north side of El Centro Street (enter from Fairview).
